The CP103 section is an underground railway construction project with a total length of approximately 6.5km, including Anonas Station and Camp Aguinaldo Station. Shield tunnel excavation began in January of this year from the station located at a military facility, and currently two shield machines are operating smoothly.
The Parliamentary Group for JICA members who visited the site expressed great expectations for the Philippines' first underground railway construction project and were impressed by the continued safe construction practices with emphasis on quality. There was also a scene where Chairperson Obuchi asked about the installation method of shield segments, and when we specifically explained the construction method for the final piece that completes the circular segments, she seemed to realize that our company's technology is steadily being transferred to the Philippines. Furthermore, when we explained that the production management of these shield segments is thoroughly carried out by Filipino national staff, they deepened their understanding of the site policy of actively developing Filipino national staff.
Moving forward, through social infrastructure development projects, we will continue to build and maintain good relationships with clients and project stakeholders, and contribute to the economic development of the Republic of the Philippines by leveraging our many years of overseas project management capabilities and technical expertise.
